Great News

After WWDP closes its doors on 20th March 2015, we shall be seeing you across the road at 1b Hylton Park Road (RTC North Building). All our patients should by now have received a letter and newsletter from us with all the details..

To accommodate the transfer to the new location (which is less than 50 yards away) we would ask you to bear with us if we need to re-arrange any appointment that you have made.

Our opening hours are:

Mon, Tues, Wed 8am - 8pm
Thursday 9am – 5pm
(closed 12 noon -2pm for training)
Friday 8am – 3pm

GOOD NEWS IS our telephone number and website address will stay the same, so you should have no difficulty contacting us.

A NEW WEBSITE is being developed to mark this new phase in the life of the Practice. In the meantime, we have put up this holding page to show you the exterior of the new location and the work going on in the interior to provide you with the most modern and comfortable environment possible. However, you will be able to spot some very familiar features (including mine!) when we open on 23rd March 2015!

All our patients should by now have received a letter from us and soon you will receive a newsletter with more details.

Thank you so much for your loyalty, patience and support. I have been overwhelmed by the messages of congratulation, support and encouragement that we have received from our patients, suppliers and contractors – amazing, thank you all!

Urgent treatment means treatment that the dentist considers necessary to relieve severe pain or prevent your oral condition deteriorating before you can make a normal appointment.

If you need urgent treatment outside of the opening hours you can telephone the practice on 0191 5498888 where an answer machine message will give you contact details.

We also offer a small number of appointments during practice opening hours for patients who need urgent treatment but do not have an appointment. If you think you need urgent treatment you can contact us as early as possible in the morning.

You may not see your usual dentist but we will aim to deal with the immediate problem within 24 hours.

Wessington Way membership scheme patients will have worldwide trauma and emergency call out insurance provided by practice plan. The emergency call out aspect of this insurance means emergency treatment can be provided by any dentist worldwide who agrees to treat you. You simply pay the emergency call out charge to the dentist concerned and collect a receipted invoice. This will then be processed through the practice for reimbursement from the insurers and you will be refunded the call out fee, minus the excess, up to the policy limits. This cover is to provide immediate pain relief only; no additional or restorative treatment fees can be claimed. You should return to the practice in normal hours for any further treatment required.

If you are not currently registered at Wessington Way Dental Practice and require emergency treatment, we can provide you with an appointment once you register with the practice.
