Phobic Patients
Many people find visiting the dentist a traumatic experience
Why?
- They may have had a bad experience themselves
- Someone close to them may have suffered a “horror story”
- They feel insecure because they feel they are not in control of the relationship.
Our History
Martin Anderson was a fully accredited dental anaesthetist, so was qualified to help people to get through a procedure by putting them to sleep!. This helped them to “have something done” but didn’t help them to reduce their anxiety.
Our Philosophy at Wessington Way
All of our team will treat everyone sympathetically, individually, and comfortably at a pace of progress that you can easily cope with.
We will give you as much information about your treatment as possible
We will do all we can to enable you to have treatment that you need with the least invasive pharmacological methods.
We will help you by “storing” those unpleasant memories further away in your “library”. They are still there, but less accessible, and over-ridden by more pleasant experiences.
We will try hard to help our patients feel special and highly valued
