Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take on NHS patients?
We do have a small number of NHS patients but we have not been taking on any new ones for a while due to the practice only having a small NHS contract.
How do I become a private patient?
Contact a number of our reception team on 0191 5498888 to arrange a consultation, please see the Book and visit section. After the consultation you can become a patient of the practice by signing up to one of our membership plans. Please see the cost and membership section.
Do you do cosmetic treatments?
Yes, your dentist will advise you about cosmetic options available to you. Please see treatments for further information.
Do you do sedation?
No, we believe that sedation does not help patients to overcome their fears of the dentist. We will do all we can to put you at ease and will never make you go ahead with something you are not comfortable with. Please see Phobic section.
Do you provide appointments outside of my working hours?
We try to offer convenient appointments to suit all. Please refer to the book and visit section.
Do you provide orthodontic treatment?
We can correct simple orthodontic problems and will refer you to a local orthodontist for more complex treatments.
Will my treatment hurt?
If you are having treatment that could become sensitive, your dentist will freeze the area using local anaesthetic. The dentist will make this as comfortable as possible
How do I get to the practice?
The practice is easily accessed from all major routes and we provide free car parking for all our patients. There is also a regular bus service which will take you to the practice from Sunderland city centre. Please see book and visit section.
Do you have access for wheelchair users?
We have two wide car parking spaces close to the entrance of the practice. All of our surgeries and toilets are on ground floor and take into consideration our patients that use wheelchairs.
